Standards for the Protection of Minors Standards for the Protection of Minors

We would like to kindly inform you that, in accordance with the amendment of the Family and Guardianship Code, additional provisions aimed at providing protection to minors who have been victims of violence (the so-called “Lex Kamilek” Act) came into force on 15 February 2024. Under this Act, representatives of, among others, the hotel industry were required to identify the relationship between an adult guest and a child, i.e. to determine whether the adult is the parent/legal guardian of the minor with whom he or she has arrived and whether the child is not at risk in the situation.

HENCE THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOU: If the child to whom the reservation relates arrives at the hotel/resort and is checked in by a person who is not the child's parent or legal guardian, it is the responsibility of the hotel/resort reception staff to ask the person to provide a CERTIFICATE OF PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN CONCERNING THE CHILD'S STAY UNDER THE PERSON'S CARE. The aforementioned situation does not only apply to persons not related to the child, but also, inter alia, to grandparents or uncles of the minor who are not at the moment their legal guardians. We ask for your understanding in advance with regard to our staff, who, in accordance with the above-mentioned amendment, have been obliged (under threat of penalty) to identify the relationship between the child and the persons with whom the child appears in the hotel/facility, but also implement this obligation primarily out of concern for the welfare of your children and their safety.
